Green Initiatives
The College places a strong emphasis on environmental awareness and sustainable practices, fostering a green campus that reflects our commitment to SDG goals of the United Nations. In our pursuit of environmental consciousness, we have initiated innovative projects to engage and empower our students.
- Our campus follows a strict “No-Plastic-Zone Policy”.
- Our students are actively associated with the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by regularly taking part in cleanliness drives and steering local awareness in the locality.
- Tree mapping allows us to appreciate and preserve diverse flora in the ward in which the college is located thereby fostering a sense of environmental consciousness among our student community.
- Additionally, mushroom cultivation has been initiated by the Botany Department that provides hands-on learning experiences and empowers students with valuable skills in sustainable agriculture. It will also create opportunities for entrepreneurship for the students.
- Complementing these efforts, we have started to embrace vermicomposting as a waste management solution, promoting the responsible use of organic waste for nutrient-rich compost.
- The establishment of a green campus, featuring a vertical garden is one of our objectives to further enhance our commitment to creating a harmonious coexistence between our educational pursuits and the natural environment.
